Celebrating Earthbound Alumni: Mycoverse & Meat Tomorrow
After a venture building journey with us at DTU Earthbound, the startup Mycoverse is now continuing their journey with BII (BioInnovation Institute). We are looking forward to see them taking this cutting-edge technology all the way to real world impact! Mycoverse brings next-generation biological solutions to agriculture. Their technology ensures a greener future without the use of synthetic chemicals.
Another amazing news is that Meat Tomorrow just closed a 4.1m DKK pre-seed round to accelerate the development of cultivated meat! Big news, and a huge round of applause!
DTU students innovating for climate
We had the pleasure of hosting a case challenge for 175 DTU master students at a three-week mandatory innovation course. Thrown into the deep end the engineering students had three weeks to come up with innovations to the challenge: “How might we create products or solutions that support a plant-based diet while safeguarding natural resources and biodiversity?”
The case was designed with the Danish think tank Tænketanken Frej, who works to ensure that Food Denmark becomes increasingly more sustainable. And we totally concur - engineering students have incredible minds! “I’m so impressed with the level of engagement, and I really loved to see how they had dived into the challenge. DTU students are lucky to have this innovative course as a part of their studies. Not all universities have that.“ - Marie-Louise Boisen Lendal, Director, and co-founder Tænketanken Frej.
